The Keramo Adara site has a reputation for producing some of the best coffees in Ethiopia, having been granted the Cup of Excellence award in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The producers of Keramo live high in the beautiful Bombe mountains. We sourced this coffee through our partner The Coffee Quest, who work locally with producer Daye Bensa and his out-grower group of about 1,500 farmers in various parts of the mountain range. All these producers deliver their coffee to Daye Bensa’s Keramo Adara Washing Station.
This is a classic washed Ethiopian coffee – clean, balanced and tea-like. It has a lively lemon-like acidity, a sticky caramel sweetness, and some delicate floral notes. We found the best results when setting this coffee using the Aeropress on a coarse grind setting. Go give it a try at home!
