This course is for those of you who want to learn some real barista skills. You’ll discover how to set the perfect espresso, sharpen up your milk-foaming and latte art skills, and learn a bit more about different tastes in coffee through a coffee tasting. Whether you’re using an espresso machine at home, working as a barista on the side, or have no experience at all, everyone is welcome for this 3-hour barista course.
We’ll start with a fun coffee tasting to cover some fundamentals about coffee theory – and get that much-needed after-lunch caffeine fix. You’ll be given one of our Ief&ido coffee jars filled with your favourite coffee from the tasting. You’ll learn how to adjust the coffee grinder to get the perfect espresso shots flowing. We’ll dive a bit deeper by practising how you create and modify espresso recipes to get even more value out of the coffee. We’ll finish with a lesson on milk steaming and latte art.
If you want to focus more on milk frothing than espresso (or vice versa), we’ll give you more time for that. We also offer you the opportunity to bring your own espresso machine (and grinder if you have one) and use it during the workshop. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your machine, with the bonus of going home with a perfectly dialled-in espresso machine ready for use at home.
When: Saturday 18 October at 14:00.
Where: Ief&Ido koffiebranderij, Kerketuinenweg 55, 2544 CV Den Haag.
This workshop will set you up with some real barista skills that you can show off either at home or in a commercial environment. You have the option of bringing your own espresso machine and grinder with you. Interested?
