Berries, pineapple, stone fruit, Japanese sencha
Discover the extraordinary journey of Juan Pablo and Efraín Argote, a father-son duo who took a bold step to revolutionize coffee production in the village of Génova. What started as a simple question, “What if we did something different with our coffee?” led to the creation of a thriving coffee project that has transformed the community. This truly special coffee is the high-end lot of the Argote project. Our light roast profile does justice to the coffee’s diverse and complex flavour profile and works great as either filter or espresso. Expect a range of fruity notes as well as a pleasant Japanese sencha tea aftertaste.
Partnering with Lennart of This Side Up in 2014, Efraín and Juan Pablo embarked on a path of innovation and sustainability, becoming independent exporters and pioneers in experimenting with various processing methods like cascara, honey, and anaerobic processing. Their commitment to quality and community development led to the establishment of a training center for regenerative farming practices, impacting every farmer in Génova.
